Wilson Medical Center

New York Times bestselling author C.J. Box visited Wilson in 2003 to speak at Barton College's Friends of Hackney Library event. Subsequently, he was inspired to include the town of Wilson in his next novel, Badlands. The main character tracks down a suspect to Wilson, NC. At one point in the character's time in Wilson, he goes to Wilson Medical Center after being attacked by that very suspect during interrogation.
