Freeman Roundhouse and African-American Museum

A museum dedicated to preserving local African-American history and promoting African-American art and culture. It was built in 1946 by architect Oliver Nestus Freeman, originally designed as a private residence meant to house returning World War II veterans. In 2001 it was opened to the public.
