St. Mary of the Hill’s Episcopal Church

In Jan Karon’s novels, Father Tim is an Episcopalian priest. The church he and Cynthia preside over is called The Lord’s Chapel. Blowing Rock, NC does have an Episcopal Church--St. Mary of the Hills--which likely inspired Karon’s crafting of the fictional church centered in her novels.
