Near the Actors' Theatre of Charlotte

Alexander Street extends for one unmarked block south of Stonewall Street towards I-277. In 2015 historian Dr. Thomas Hanchett reported discovering there the still-producing blackberry bushes that featured in Rose Leary Love's memoir of life in the vanished African American neighborhood of Brooklyn.
