2. The PICO process is a technique used in evidence based practice (EBP) to frame and answer a clinical or health related question.

3. The levels of evidence pyramid often includes these evidence types, in order from the top of the pyramid to the bottom:

Meta-analysis, systematic review, cohort studies, case control studies, cross sectional studies, case reports, laboratory studies.
Case reports, case control studies, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, cross sectional studies, laboratory studies.
Peer reviewed articles, literature reviews, popular articles.

4. When searching for systematic reviews, one tip is:

Pay attention to the title of the resource, particularly if it includes “systematic review” in the title
Make sure it has “review” in the title
Google “systematic review”
